Experimenting...

So, until yesterday, Marshall did not have a highchair. We would feed him in his bouncy chair on the floor, which is not a smart idea. He would rather play with the toys on the bouncy chair than eat, and when he would eat, it would always get on the seat. That poor chair was always covered with squash, carrots, apples, bananas...I tried to keep it clean but it was not working.

About a week ago, I was sitting on the floor feeding Marshall and watched in what seemed like slow motion, as Marshall's hand whacked the container of peaches I was holding and they flew across the room. Super. I said to Kreat, "Tomorrow I am buying a highchair."

I shopped online and found a great deal on Amazon (no tax and free shipping!) on the chair that I wanted. It arrived yesterday.

Of course, I had to try it out. Marshall loves Biter Biscuits from Gerber. I gave him one to make his first highchair experience pleasant. Then I thought to myself, "I wonder if he can hold a sippy cup?" Now, I know, he's not 6 months old yet, but I only let him have it for about 10 minutes with some water in it. No harm, no foul.

Enjoy the photos!

Aren't high chairs the best! I am hoping to keep Bernadette using hers for as long as possible.

Yeah, so Bailey won't hold her own sippy cup yet. We started her on a cup first, so she would learn how to drink from one. And now that we want her to use a sippy cup, she wants us to hold it for her! We're working on it.
